		<description>I had just the same feeling about following a pattern to make something wonky when I read that book.  Your pockets would make a sweet quilt.

The grey fabric - you could try starching it first, or try sewing with the grey against the presser foot (on top) rather than against the feed dogs.  Or try a walking foot if you have one.</description>
